Excellence in Psychotherapy

About Eddie Meyer, LCSW (Psychotherapist)

Eddie Meyer obtained his Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Loyola University Chicago in 2014 with a specialization in mental health. Prior to founding the Chicago Center for Healthy Minds, Eddie gained experience offering psychotherapy at the Replogle Center for Counseling and Well-Being in Chicago, and at the North Shore Senior Center in Northfield.

Eddie is a compassionate listener and utilizes a strengths-based, client-centered approach to his clinical work. Eddie’s attitude is that the healing process of psychotherapy is a highly collaborative one. He respects that clients are the true subject matter experts with regard to their own lives. Eddie helps by bringing his knowledge and experience of evidence-based treatment modalities and concepts to the table. He helps clients orient their lives around their values, build and draw upon their strengths, and examine ways of thinking and behaving that may no longer be working for them.

I am a compassionate change agent. I see the best in people and encourage the growth of all people, period.
